It appears it’s time for another hidden musical duo who’d prefer to be obfuscated from view for now. Ms Mr may be a Brooklyn-based duo but I’m betting there’s a significant British connection here if the voice is anything to go by – a dab from each of the voice springs of Florence Welch, La Roux and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
Musically speaking, the duo’s first release is the free downloadable Ghost City USA 4-track EP and it takes in Florence-esque pop elegance with big piano chords. It’s a very promising start. The duo won’t formally reveal themselves til later in the year when performing live shows.
