Things are about to wind down for the season but there’s no better time to escape the pre-Christmas rush and the post-season languor than to head out to a gig. There are loads on in Dublin and beyond in the next week or so here’s a quick rundown.
I had the notion months ago that December’s podcast would feature all Irish music and what better way to showcase this country’s talent than to take the results of the public poll for Irish EPs and make a podcast out of it. The top 14 EPs were as follows with number of votes in brackets:
There were only ever four real contenders for this once the voting started. The top four albums below trail-blazed from day one and the others all languished behind. This year almost 200 of you voted for 61 different Irish albums with 354 votes counted in total. That’s three more albums than last year.
