Win passes to James Chance & Cap Pas Cap
Oct 04 2007
As part of the This is Wanted weekender this weekend, Maximum Joy are having a special show in the Sugar Club on Saturday with the debut Irish performance from James Chance and Les Contortions with support from Cap Pas Cap. Chance is considered a New York No Wave legend who inspired those who came after him such as Sonic Youth, The Rapture and DFA.
Tickets to catch his unique show of jazzy-punk stylings are €20 but I have two +1 passes to the gig on Saturday (thanks to Darren from Maximum Joy). The first two people to leave a comment with words “GIMME A CHANCE” gets tickets to the show.

Fergal and Morgan.. you should be sorted for +1 on the door on Saturday. Use your full names.
Huzzah!
5This is going to be a savage show and likely to be his last time in Europe for a couple of years. I caught his set with the original contortions a couple of years ago at Vincent Gallos ATP and he took my breath away. Imagine James Brown inhabited with the spirit of Johnny Rotten and choreographed by David Lynch// has to be seen to be believed!!!
6Great show! Thanks for the tickets.
7Hey and thanks for coming along. One of the gigs of the year. James Chance is a seminal act and wears that ‘tag’ lightly.
