Mr. Lif - Mo’ Mega

I’ll admit when I saw Mr. Lif’s video for “Live from the Plantation”, the whole office shtick annoyed me to the point of almost forgetting to check him out properly. Then I heard “Brothaz” and I knew I was being a bit harsh. His latest album Mr. Mega is an excellent slice of independent hip hop similar in tone to labelmate Aesop Rock who appears here on a track with EL-P. Production on Mo’ Mega is from EL-P with some beats contributed by Edan (playing Dublin Oct 14th).
