Continuing the slew of free downloads, Stones Throw and Adult Swim are again offering a great free mixtape. This time in support of a new CD/ DVD release to come out in October entitled ‘Chrome Children’. The CD will feature Madvillain, J Dilla, Madlib, J. PB WOLF’S CHROME MIX

If you like any of these artists or want to see what the fuss about Stones Throw is, then pick up the Stones Throw Ten Years record. Madlib and J Rocc featured in Brasilintime which I had the pleasure of seeing here in Dublin on Thursday night. The film aims to bring together some of the best DJs around with the drummers / percussionists from Brazil who they sampled and were inspired by to play a show in Sao Paolo. The concert footage is a joy to watch as the older generation are clearly relishing the chance to show off their experience and to play with some of their American and Brazilian peers. Well worth a watch, if there’s a screening near you.
