Michael Jackson x J Dilla = ?

dilla_jackson What would happen if you put hip-hop’s most venerable producer with the greatest pop star the world has ever known? J Rocc decided to find out and in doing so, he is paying tribute to both deceased J Dilla and MJ. Rocc leaked this on Twitter on Friday night, suggesting it was from a release (mixtape?) called Share My Bed.

Despite the very dubious name, this track ‘Player has Butterflies’ sounds effortlessly cool. Great to hear these two together. More info/tracks on Monday.

    Great stuff-Dila had actually remixed Michael thru official channells before; check the various Ummah mixes of History, but “Butterflies” was always one of his best modern day tracks and the mash-up works a treat-nice one!
