huntg This is a video preview featuring tracks from Hunter-Gatherer’s brilliantly-titled album I Dreamed I Was A Footstep In The Trail Of A Murderer out in the early days of next month.

The album itself is 15 tracks, 71 minutes of electronica with bell melodies, click clacks, bass pulses, synth buzz, ambient flourishes, light touches, quiet brushes, dub moments, menacing corners and fast tempos.

Here’s the title track from the album, the one where that bug-eyed freak from above is chasing you through the deserted post-apocalyptic streets of Ranelagh.*

* – I may have watched too many zombie films lately.

Just reviewed it for AU Mag. Got to say it’s very impressive. Reminds me of Kid A era Radiohead, though perhaps that’s going a little too far with the praise. Well worth a buy, though.

Its a really great album, very very impressive, it has a haunting beauty about it. One of the albums of the year for me. Too early for Choice Music Prize nominations suggestions?
