Hello Nasty The latest in the line of Beasties reissues is out next week with one of my favourite albums of all-time (YO, I’M HAPPY FOR YOU.. IMA LET YOU FINISH BUT etc etc) – 1998’s Hello Nasty gets the remastered treatment.

It’ll be available in 2-CD/vinyl box set/multi-format treatment featuring 43 tracks in total with 21 bonus tracks and rarities, including 10 never before released items (tracks/skits). Vinyl deluxe pack includes four 180-gram vinyl LPs featuring the deluxe remastered album and Hello Nasty Collectors Edition PATCH in an 8-panel gatefold package enclosed in a hardcover “coffee table book” case limited to a run of 1500.

    Why the hell has it been remastered?! The original is perfect. Their best album for me and definitely one of the best of the Nineties.

    Yeh it does beg the question. It’s only been 11 years. that said, I haven’t heard it nor any other the other remastered Beastie albums.

    I can understand Pauls Boutique getting remastered as it was always pretty low.

    Yeah, absolutely. Generally though, unless something has been mastered really badly the first time round, there’s nothing wrong with anything from about 1993/4 onwards. Sounds like a nice pack to have but I doubt I’d have the cash to buy the album again!

    They’re remastering all of their albums leading up to their new one (minus TT5B). If anything, you get some unreleased tracks and other goodies. It’s for the collectors
