gaslampLA’s Gaslamp Killer is like a horror film composer who swapped his Hollywood Suite for head-nodding club beats and electronic stabs in the dark. He rolls with Flying Lotus and the Low End Theory/ Brainfeeder crew so that should give you some indication to his cerebral sound. He plays Twisted Pepper this Friday @10 and I have two plus ones to giveaway thanks to Choice Cuts. Just leave a comment below, preferably with a link to some electronic beatmaking you think we should all hear. Lines close tomorrow.

This mixtape is somewhere between early DJ Shadow and his own brand of freaky beats. Like the name this is killer. A must listen.

not in for the competition but i’m going to second the recommendation for dorian concept- ‘when planets explode’ is amazing and on emusic, which helps. i think it’s way better some more hyped releases like Polyfolk Dance, well worth a listen. This mix is absolutely cracking.
