This was more fun and enlightening than I expected. Some of the things I realised were that I don’t really like much music in the period 81-90 (bar 1988), and I can pinpoint 1996-98 as the years when my music taste took proper form. Also, a list of my all-time favourites would be totally 70s-dominated…

I didn’t include reissues/compilations, but not everything is a full album.

It is funny to see a lack of so called ‘best bands in the world’ such as Snow Patrol, RHCP, Coldplay, REM, U2 etc getting nominated..
Also very few female artists getting nominated..is this due to mainly male posters? I think Neko Case-Blacklisted and Zero 7(Sia) deserve an honourable mention
