Mantua Festival initial line-up announced

The first line-up for Mantua Festival in Roscommon is out of the bag, and it’s now a three day festival. Here’s the names on the board so far:

Clark (Warp, UK) / Taskforce (MFTC, UK) / Shackleton (Skull Disco, de) / Couds (live) (Nopa, 2nd Drop, FL) / Cotti (Soul Jazz, Bassface, UK ) / Ital Tek (Planet Mu, UK) / Datasette (AI, UK) / Sunken Foal (planet mu) / Filaria (Bugklinik, Acroplane) / Solen (Alphabet Set) / Super Extra Bonus Party (IRL) / Sarsparilla (Alphabet Set) / The Wax Ensemble (BE) / The Infomatics / Cignol / Colz & Grizzle /
Nouveaunoise / Fran Hartnett / Ed Devane / Prince Kong fet Jah Balance / LPX / 16HZ & Joanny Oakley / Vince McMahon / Worries Outernational / p77 / Blue Food.

Last year was really good. This year it takes place from the 1st – 3rd of August.

That line-up is just solid gold. Magic. Finally a chance to see all these Irish acts whose Myspace sites I’ve been lurking round. Mantua was deadly last year too – Check out this write up from some obscure pretend music-hack:

admittedly i’m surprised about the price, it’s a bit higher than i thought it’d be – any word on headliners, etc?
