Jape

After the folding of V2, many artists were left to find a new home. Thankfully for Richie Egan he has found a new label in Co-Operative Music. Co-op is the home of labels such as Bella Union, City Slang, Luaka Bop, Memphis Industries, Moshi Moshi, Wichita, Rabid and Arts & Crafts in many European countries. Not sure if this deal covers Ireland and the UK but he seems happy about it.

Jape is playing Crawdaddy tonight and tomorrow night with dates in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Derry and Belfast in early December.

Co-op Music looks like it’s quite hip. I hope it doesn’t fold. Our economy is so bad right now.

I was at the gig last night, FANTASTIC. Played loads of new stuff and it was all good – far more upbeat than last album.

Re the new label, he commented..”who wants to share a label with the f*ckin Stereophonics anyway!!”.

Highly recommend catching the second gig tonight if you missed it yesterday
