Label Love

and the fact her stuff got so old so quickly
The ticket price was outrageous, but also the venue isnt exactly the most intimate, and her music is definitely suited to small and sweaty kips where you can jump around in a little heaving mob. Same with Amy Winehouse (yeah I know she’s an idiot, but she sings good pop tunes), I’d like to see her perform, but somewhere like the Olympia rather than the barn in the RDS. Sorry MIA I like you loads but I wasnt buying a ticket for that gig…
Not sure if i would have even gone if it was cheaper or in a better venue! Saw her at the picnic and just thought meh! There are plenty of other gigs comin up that i’d rather spend my pennies on?
I blame the fact that she’s shit. Just like she was the first time round.
I AM RAGING!!!!I love her music and i thought she was CLASS at the picnic (even though I was seriously hung over!!) and iv been listening to her fir about two years now. I’m not a happy bunny. . . .
I like M.I.A. but I think there’s a bit of a discrepancy in singing “pull up the people pull up the poor” on here first album then charging ridiculous prices like this. Practice what you preach lady.
Maebh I don’t think ticket prices has anything to do with her! Sure look at dates in the UK, they’re on sale for 8 pound 50!
I’m really disappointed, I was really looking forword to seeing her. I did’nt go to EP.
really? She has nothing to do with them? I mean, it’s her show right? Surely the buck stops with M.I.A.? SURELY??
She isn’t going to look at her dates and think “I’m going to rip off the Irish!”
As Neil said, it was her agent in this case.
Er… the ticket price is MCD’s fault.
As it is all the bloody time.
MCD + Irish Insurance crapness = Rip off ticket prices
