Everyone’s favourite “world music” politi-pop star is giving away a free MP3 download of his new single “Rainin’ in Paradize” from his Official Site.
The song is an agitated siren-riddled political pop song more in the vein of Manu’s older stuff as Manu Negra but with a deceptive sheen of friendliness. Listen closer and you can you hear references to Baghdad, Congo, Zaire, Jerusalem and the chorus references the Masai tribe of Kenya – “GO MASAI GO!”.

I just saw Manu Chao on Saturday night June 23rd. AMAZING. I went to the shpow to see Thievery Corporationand had hardly heard any Manu Chao. Stunned and amazed.
