Modeselektor boogy Bytes

Modeselektor have contributed to the third volume of the Boogy Bytes mix series on bPitch Control and true to form, it’s bit of a banger. 27 tracks taking in lots of great tunes from the likes of James Holden, Spank Rock, Flying Lotus, Nathan Fake, Skream, Luke Vibert, µ-ziq, Radiohead and Burial.

Two of my favourites are the two Sirius Mo tracks. Just what you’d expect from the wasted German Youth DJ team. Catch them at Oxegen if you’ve sold your soul!

Great nice one for the heads up, this is one the ear phones for my sunny evening cycles.

Been trying to listen to this for a couple of weeks now, have to say I’m not really getting into it. Seems like they cast their net too wide and fell between chairs. Boogybytes 2 & 3 haven’t lived up to the blazing trail of the first for me. I like the Intro on this one, but I’m afraid that’s all I can say!

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan generally. They were the highlight of EP last year for me. Were you at their DJ set in Wax in March? I was away at the time so couldn’t make it. Didn’t hear too much about it either.

There were rumours earlier this year of a Modeselektor live show sometime in the early summer, I believe I heard the TBMC mentioned. Anyone know anything about this? Quite possibly it was all fantasy.
