This time in support of a new CD/ DVD release to come out in October entitled ‘Chrome Children’. The CD will feature Madvillain, J Dilla, Madlib, J. If you like any of these artists or want to see what the fuss about Stones Throw is, then pick up the Stones Throw Ten Years record. Madlib and J Rocc featured in Brasilintime which I had the pleasure of seeing here in Dublin on Thursday night. The film aims to bring together some of the best DJs around with the drummers / percussionists from Brazil who they sampled and were inspired by to play a show in Sao Paolo. The concert footage is a joy to watch as the older generation are clearly relishing the chance to show off their experience and to play with some of their American and Brazilian peers. Well worth a watch, if there’s a screening near you.
